The Stourhead Summer Exhibition will be larger than any exhibitions we have previously held and, it is hoped, will become an annual event. In addition to exhibits in our gallery space we will also be showing in Spread Eagle Courtyard and the Stouton Memorial Hall. Whilst loosely modelled on the RA's Summer Exhibition we intend to sell and replace work as the exhibition progresses.
The event will be widely publicised and is appearing in the National Trust's Events Programme. At this time of the year Stourhead would expect 1000's of visitors, most of whom pass through the Courtyard on their way to the garden. In additon to exhibiting larger pieces in the Courtyard we also intend to have demonstrations by artists. If you would be interested in demonstrating please let us know.
There will be a hanging fee of £10 per piece entered. In the event that work is sold this will be credited against our standard commission. We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for larger pieces. The hanging fee for work not displayed will be refunded.
We would urge artists who have not exhibited at the Gallery before to look at the checklist on this link.
