Peter trained in graphic art and worked in print/publishing before setting up his own graphic design studio in 1986. An interest in industrial archaeology, vintage transport and machinery led to commissions for many very accurately detailed pictures and as an antidote to these, ‘Whimshire’ was created. This imaginary county ‘somewhere in the West of England’, its inhabitants and strange contraptions, are depicted in a continuing series of detailed, gently humorous pictures which have been shown in many U.K. exhibitions and serialised in magazines. Peter is a resident artist at First-View.
