David Fisher

David’s history in the ‘art world’ is long and varied starting his career as an Interior Designer in the 1970’s.  When many designers were moving to London, David decided to stay in Bath where he found the work and commissions were plentiful for a freelance artist and designer. Designing and producing over 400 pub signs  for Bass Breweries kept him busy for over ten years. David’s commissions include 13 murals, some over 100ft long, produced for Trust House Forte at their Welcome Break service Areas throughout the country, where using local themes he would design and paint on a grand scale.

More recent work includes fine detailed land and seascapes in both oil and watercolour. David’s entry ‘Friend or Foe’ for the 2003 Daily Mail ‘Not the Turner Prize’ was amongst 20 finalist from 10,000 entries and is now produced as a Giclee print.
