In Novenber 2009 the charity Msaada gave out over 100 canvases and paints to local people. Some were professionals, most were amateurs - but all wanted to help by painting a picture. First-View is proud to be supporting the charity by displaying and selling these works of art.
Msaada was established in the Blackmore Vale area of North Dorset/South Wiltshire, to help Rwandans rebuild their lives following the 1994 genocide, through self-sustainable development projects and education. The group was founded with the support of Fergal Keane of the BBC who reported on the atrocities in Rwanda in 1994 which left about one million dead and millions of lives in ruins.
Further information about the charity may be found at www.msaada.org
This exhibition has now become an established annul event. For further information regarding participation please contact the Gallery on 01747 840747 or click on this link.
