Nick Andrew
Nick was born in 1957 in Oxfordshire. He studied Art and Graphic Design in Oxford, London and Cheltenham. Since graduating in 1979, Nick has been working as a painter, based in Wiltshire and Dorset, and has exhibited widely, throughout the UK, mainland Europe, and the USA.
Five years ago, he moved to a studio in part of a watermill on the upper reaches of the River Wylye in South Wiltshire, where he lives with his wife, Kate and daughter.
Nick was a finalist for the Laing Open in 1994, and won first prize in 'Dorset Rivers' at Poole Art Centre in 1994. He also won first prize in the Spink-Ledger Prize in 1998, and was a finalist in 1999.
Recently, he has worked on commissions for Royal London Hospital, Broadgate Estates, P&O, Barnet Hospital, Prudential Assurance, and 'Paintings in Hospitals'. |
