First-View Art Gallery Stourhead

The First-View gallery is on the National Trust's Stourhead Estate in the Spread Eagle Courtyard facing the famous Spread Eagle Inn.
It is split into two separate areas by the archway that visitors pass through to get from the Visitor Reception to the Garden. These are called "The Main Gallery" and the "The Archway Gallery", opened in October 2002 and June 2002 respectively.
Our aim is to to show an eclectic collection of work from artists who, on the whole, live or originate from the Wessex area. Click the "Gallery" button to see some photographs of The Gallery and the type of work exhibited.

Entrance to The Gallery is free.

In addition to our "Home" gallery at Stourhead we also organise exhibitions at other venues. Details may be seen by clicking on the "Exhibitions" button above.

Artists are welcome, by appointment, to visit the Gallery and discuss the possibilities of their work being exhibited.

Opening Times: 11 - 5 daily through BST
When closed we are more than happy to open by appointment.
